Unroll the rug as soon as you receive it and use a vacuum to restore the fluffiness of the wool pile that may have become compressed during shipping. It's like fixing flattened hair, but this time it's the rug. Doing this will minimize creases or marks caused by rolling the rug. Let it settle for a few days to let the creases fully disappear. When vacuuming, make sure to follow the direction of the pile and avoid the tassels.
To keep your 100% wool rug in good condition, aim to vacuum it twice a month to prevent dirt and debris buildup. Regular cleaning like this will prolong the rug's lifespan and reduce the need for professional cleaning, which is recommended only every 3-5 years. It's also a good idea to flip the rug and vacuum the other side every other month to remove anything deeply embedded in the pile.
Rotating your rug is another helpful practice. Different parts of the rug receive varying amounts of foot traffic, so every 6 months, rotate the rug to evenly distribute wear and prolong the life of your beautiful carpet.
If you accidentally spill something on the rug, you can clean the affected area by gently blotting it. Use water and mild soap that is safe for wool, avoiding bleach or any harsh chemicals that could permanently damage the natural fibers. You can also consider using a mixture of 8 parts vinegar to 1 part water or soda water, as they can effectively remove any odor. However, avoid saturating the rug or using steam to clean it, unless you decide to hire a professional.
To ensure your rug lasts as long as possible, we recommend professional cleaning every 3-5 years. If you need a reliable referral (and a potential discount code), please email us at hello@erintalgotrading.com for further information.

Absolutely! Wool is non-allergenic, discouraging bacteria and dust mites. A prime choice for pet owners and allergy sufferers, wool's natural resilience offers exceptional under-paw comfort for your furry companions.
If you spot a loose knot, please refrain from tugging on the wool. Simply snip the loose part away.

Rug pads are optional. Our pliable, plush wool rugs generally don't require them unless placed on slippery floors or when dealing with harsher materials like jute fiber.
Expect slight variations as our rugs are entirely handmade. Quality control maintains a maximum 10cm sizing difference and meticulous color matching. Differences in color may arise based on your device settings.
