OUR PROCESS — HANDMADE LUXURY BY GLOBAL CRAFTSWOMEN
THE SECRET TO CREATING THE MOST PERFECT, LUXURIOUS, HANDCRAFTED PRODUCTS
01 — SOURCING WOOL
Honor Centuries of Local Traditional Sources
Local lambs are hand-sheared by men and woman of the Berber tribes as they have done for centuries.  The frigid climate our lambs thrive in contributes to their thick coats and our signature lush and lofty wool. This plush quality makes for the best starting ingredient in our luxury rugs and sets us apart from our competitors.
02 — PROCESSING & DYEING
Give time to Process Beautiful Raw Materials
The raw wool is washed, combed and spun laboriously by hand in a process that takes a few days to complete. The yarn is submerged in a custom mix of plant, fruit, or mineral based dyes for hours or days to give it natural, vibrant hue. The yarn is washed and hung to dry in the fresh mountain air.
03 — ARTISANAL HANDWEAVING
Trimmed & Washed by Hand
Once the rug is fully woven, it is laboriously washed by hand and hung to dry in the arid Moroccan sun. This ensures no bleaching or leeching of color so your rugs stay vibrant and saturated. The rug’s loft and piles are trimmed by both hand and occasionally machine to guarantee the highest consistency of the pile and perfection in the weaving.
OUR MISSION — MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Environmental & Social Goverance
EQUITY & ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
Dedicated to Our Women
We work directly with our craftswomen and only work with Government-verified Collectives and certified Not-for-Profits. This allows us to ensure all of our women are paid equitably and fairly. We are a 100% woman owned and founded business and are relentlessly committed to our ethical and sustainability requirements. We refuse to work with middle-men or black market rug suppliers that exploit and take 95% of the profits from female weavers.
SAFE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND OUR WEAVERS
Natural Artisanal Beauty
Our rugs are made with the most natural ingredients, ensuring our dyes and washes are non-toxic and formaldehyde free. We have our own quality control, operations, and logistics team based in Morocco and our Founder personally visits our weavers annually to oversee production.

About Erin
A self described lover of travel, different cultures, and beautiful things - Erin Talgo has a decade of experience sourcing and designing products in the Furniture, Home DĂ©cor and Beauty Spaces.
After visiting hundreds of factories both domestically and abroad, Erin yearned for a return to the handmade mastery of artisanal products instead of today’s mass produced commodities. During a visit to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, she was introduced to the Berber women who have carefully honed their trade over generations of weaving Beni M’ririt rugs. Transfixed by the meticulous expertise of their weaving, she was inspired to curate and create bespoke artisanal rugs for consumers & designers.Â
Today, her rugs reflect her take on traditional Moroccan designs- replacing the conventional with a unique balance of modern sophistication. Key to the Erin Talgo vision is an emphasis on supporting women, using only craftswomen, and donating a portion of all proceeds to the Free A Girl charity.
